Her earlier career spans healthcare, dentistry, retail, vending, and science — giving her a broad, practical understanding of how different industries operate. She continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing study and volunteer work. Her experience includes working with not‑for‑profit organizations, independent contractors, and performing business analysis.

Outside of work, Joelle is an active part of the Calgary community. She can often be found exploring local toy shows, riding her bike, attending performances at Vertigo Theatre, or mastering new crochet stitches. She’s also a fan of curling, British murder mysteries, and the entire Godzilla universe.
